This week, we were thrilled to welcome twelve students and two teachers from the Woodhouse Grove School in Yorkshire, England. After visiting New York City for two days, they arrived in Louisville and will stay with us until their return to England on August 31. KCD middle school students first visited Woodhouse Grove School last year.
During their time in Louisville, our guests will visit several local landmarks such as Churchill Downs, the Muhammad Ali Center, the Louisville Slugger Museum, and the Hard Rock Cafe.
The students will also spend much of their time immersed in the KCD community; touring the school, attending classes, and meeting faculty, staff, and students. In addition, students from KCD and WHGS will perform in a joint concert for middle and lower school students. A special ‘thank you’ to Jeannine Ary for coordinating this visit as well as to all of our host families! If you see our new friends around campus, please welcome them to Louisville and to KCD!
