KCD honors veterans at all-school assembly

On November 10, the KCD community gathered in the Gardner Gym for our annual Veterans Day assembly. This year’s guest speaker was Col. Reese Turner, who has served in the military for nearly 30 years. He has deployed three times to Iraq, twice to Afghanistan, and once to Haiti. He currently serves as the Chief, Operations Support Division, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate at the Army’s Human Resources Command at Ft. Knox.
Student speakers at the assembly included Sanju Alankar ’18, Wilder Brice ’18, Roderick Purdy ’23, and Kate Whiting ’22. Lower schoolers Miller Bates ’26 and Katie Kirkwood ’30 led the school in the Pledge of Allegiance.
