Ceramics students featured in national exhibition

Congratulations to KCD artists whose works were chosen to be featured in the 2022 National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition. “Hey Shoko!” by May Alsoufi ’22, “Face Jug” by Ryan Johnson ’23, “Scribbles” by Amani Ikram ’21, were all featured in the 25th annual exhibition.

Additionally, May received the Studio Potter Merit Award for the 2022 NCECA K-12 Juried Student Show for “Hey Shoko!”

“Scribbles” was not only selected for the National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition, but was also chosen for further distinction; Amani was awarded the Emily C. Specchio Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to students with interests and passions aligned with the mission of her foundation—”Embrace that Which Defines You.”
Big thank you to Mr. Marko Biddle, for his top-notch instruction and mentorship for these talented artists.
