Search Committee announces finalists

We are thrilled to announce that we have selected the finalists in our search for Kentucky Country Day School’s next Head of School. Our finalists were carefully chosen after in-person interviews with our six semifinalist candidates last week. Because of KCD’s national reputation as a school of excellence, as well as the energy and effort given by our search committee and school community to present a detailed and informative Opportunity Statement, our search drew the interest of a very talented pool of educators both nationally and internationally, all of whom are extremely eager for the opportunity to lead our school.

 

The next step in the process will be a day-long visit by each candidate during which they will be able to tour campus and meet personally with many members of our KCD community, including trustees, faculty, current administrators, parents, and students.

The process of selecting our next head of school is exciting and extremely important for the future of KCD, and it cannot be accomplished without the commitment and involvement of our school community. Resumes for each of the three finalists are linked above. As we mentioned previously, there will also be opportunities for you to meet each candidate in sessions open to our community. We strongly encourage you to participate in these sessions and to provide feedback. Your input is essential as it will help the Board of Trustees make the best decision possible based on the recommendation of the Search Committee. Details about these sessions will be announced in the coming weeks.
