  • This week we asked seniors to share some college advice they would like to pass along to the class of 2019.  Here are just a few of the responses:
    • “Don’t be upset if/when your list of schools to apply to changes. It won’t feel final until you’re almost ready to apply.”
    • “Be patient. You won’t know after just one school you visit.”
    • “It will all work out, don't spend all your time stressing about college and try to enjoy what you have.”
    • “Stay focused and on task.”
    • “Visit campuses. Communicate with college representatives.”
    • “Everything will work out!! Also, finish you're application very early so you can have people look over it.”
    • “Keep an open mind.”
  • On May 3, the seniors celebrated the end of the college admission process with a ice cream sundae party.
  • We will be offering a “College Application Workshop” for seniors again this summer (July 30 - August 3 from 12 - 3 pm).  The workshop will allow students to complete their college application (resume, essay, etc.) before their senior year begins.  Registration information in My Backpack. Go to the “Program Registration” link then click on the “Camps and Enrichment” link at the bottom on that page.
  • Students interested in test prep opportunities can see a list of agencies here.
  • This is great advice to seniors as they prepare to move on to the next level in their educational careers.
  • These are some good suggestions about how to cut the stress from the college admissions process.
