KCD welcomes Charles Traughber as varsity boys soccer coach

KCD is pleased to welcome Charles Traughber as our varsity boys soccer coach. Coach Traughber is a Louisville native and a University of Louisville Business School graduate.
Coach Traughber’s extensive soccer background includes more than ten years of club coaching and management experience. He is a former Olympic Development Program assistant coach and holds a USSF National C License, a US Youth Soccer National Youth License, and a United Soccer Coaches Futsal Certification. He is also the owner of Ohio Elite Soccer Academy and Futsal Factory.

Coach Traughber served as head coach of the Spencer County girls soccer program from 2010–2011. Under his leadership, the team earned the most wins in school history in back-to-back years, had more players named to All District teams than any prior year, and had the first players to be selected to All Region.

Some of his club and futsal accomplishments include:
  • 2017 Kentucky State Cup Champions
  • 2018 US Youth Futsal National Champions (Kansas City, KS)
  • 2017 USA Futsal World Championship Runner Ups (Orlando, FL)
  • Four players selected to attend USSF (United States Soccer Federation) ID Training Centers in Ohio this spring
  • Multiple players offered positions in USSF development academies
Dr. Tim Green is pleased that coach Traughber is joining the KCD soccer family. "We are excited to have someone with Coach Traughber’s credentials. I have known him for several years and have admired the job he has done. We are excited about the next chapter of KCD soccer!”
