Five new members have been inducted into KCD’s chapter of the Mu Alpha Theta, a national math honor society. Congratulations to new members Lia Anderson, Sarisha Lohano, Sandhya Lohano, Tala Maya, and Nora Tayara. To be inducted, students must be in Algebra 2 or higher math course, maintain a B+ average in their math courses, and complete 10 hours of math-related service.
Fourteen current members also retained their membership by meeting the requirements above. Those members are Lauren Rawson, Eddy Zhong, Daniel Greenberg, Ayaan Jabbar, Emily Rawson, Kyra Anderson, Taylor Parker, Raina Mahajan, Nicole Wei, Amani Ikram, Zahra Khan, Mahmoud Kutmah, and Grace Bagga. As a whole, this group completed over 250 hours of service, including math tutoring, listening to math lectures, and competing in national math contests. Congratulations these students!
