Upper School Governor’s Cup team captures district title

Congratulations to our US Governor’s Cup team, who won their district tournament on January 26 at Ballard High School. Tournament results are below.

Team Events
  • Future Problem Solving: 1st place (Zahra Khan, Caleh Collins, Catherine Tanner, and Sandhya Lohano, coached by Ms. Shartzer)
  • Quick Recall: 2nd place (Eddy Zhong, Solomon Blinchevsky, David Brennan, Taylor Parker, and Georgia Coats, coached by Mr. Hitzelberg)
Individual Events
  • Georgia Coats: 3rd place Arts and Humanities, 4th place Social Studies
  • Taylor Parker: 3rd place Math
  • Lauren Rawson: 1st place Math, 2nd place Science
  • Sohaib Sajid: 1st place Social Studies, 4th place Science
  • Eddy Zhong: 1st place Science, 2nd place Math
All of the teams and individuals listed above have advanced to the regional tournament, which will be hosted by St. X. The FPS team will compete on Monday, February 11. The Quick Recall team and written assessment test takers will compete on Saturday, February 16. Congratulations to all of our student competitors!
