Revised Honor Roll
It has come to my attention that we produced an incomplete Honor Roll list after the second trimester grades were posted. I hope you all know how much I value the academic efforts of your sons and daughters and that I would not purposefully deny anyone the opportunity to be recognized. A revised Honor Roll list is now posted on our Web site. Please accept my sincere apologies for any earlier omissions.

SAT prep course at KCD this summer
Over August 4–16, KCD will host an SAT prep course offered by TestMasters. More information and a registration form is available here. Additional SAT prep courses are listed in the Summer Stretch catalog.

College College Planning Evening is Monday, March 24 (grades 8–10)
This college planning program will emphasize what eighth, ninth, and tenth grade students should be doing early in their high school education to put them in the best position for a successful college career. Obviously, this is very early in the college planning process, so we want to provide parents and students with pertinent and grade-appropriate information.

Please join us from 7:00-8:15 p.m. in the KCD Commons. Topics and speakers for the evening will include:

What students should do academically to prepare for college
Speaker: Harper Haynes, Admissions Counselor, University of the South (Sewanee)

How students can prepare for standardized testing
Speaker: Anne Glosky, Dean of Studies, Kentucky Country Day

What I learned about college visits and the college search process

Course registration information session for rising ninth, tenth, and eleventh graders
Families who were not able to attend the recent Course Registration Information Session may attend the final session on Monday, March 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Wilder Room. This session is open to current eighth through eleventh graders and their parents.

Upper School offers ACT prep course
KCD is offering a prep course for students interested in preparing for the ACT. The class will run over three Sundays and begins on March 9. More information and a registration form are posted here.
