Team News Recent Meets Varsity Schedule & Results Photo Gallery Roster Any questions please email Coach Swanson at Drew.Swanson@KCD.org Tuesday March 25th CAL Master Meet: The Bearcats placed 4th out of 9 schools in their first outdoor meet of the season losing to Central, CAL and Bullitt East, while beating St. Francis, Desales, Portland Christian, Ballard and Whitefield. KCD's lone first place finisher was Marc Speed winning the Discus with a throw of 118' 5". Marc and Reed Cohen led the team in scoring with Marc scoring 14.25 and Reed scoring 8.25. The Lady Bearcats finished 7th out of 10 schools losing to Central,
Ballard, Assumption, CAL, Bullitt East and Presentation while beating
Whitefield, Beth Haven, and St. Francis. The Girls had 1 first place
finish as well with Angelique Ciliberti winning the mile in 6:03. Angelique
and Lauren Schwartz led the team with 12 points a piece. The Bearcats ran in their home opener on Thursday and brought some tough competition with them. The guys finished 4th losing to 3 AAA track powerhouses in Trinity, Male, and Bullitt East while beating Desales, Atherton and Collegiate. Again the guys came away with 1 first place and again it was Marc Speed in the Discus, improving on his performance from 2 days earlier and throwing 125'7". Lee Dorsey made his season debut and ran extremely well leading the team in scoring (10.5). Marc Speed finished with 10 followed closely by the distance trio of Thomas Riner(8), Stephen Lash (7), and Tommy James (6). The Lady Bearcats came home and finished runner up to Bullitt East. The girls beat Male, Atherton and Collegiate to round out the 5 team field. The home track was good luck for the girls as we had 4 first place finishes. Lyle Gernert won the 100 Hurdles (18.45), Olivia Tennant won the 400 (1:06.4), Angelique Ciliberti won the 3200 (13:37) and the Mile Relay team of Gernert, Tennant, Ciliberti and Casey Bariteau won with a 4:39. Notables in points were Tennant with 16.5, Gernert with 14.5, Ciliberti (10), Xan Belzley (8.5) and Bariteau with 8. The Bearcats will finish up their pre-spring break schedule by running in the Henry County All Comer meet on Tuesday, April 1st. Varsity Schedule & Meet Results
