Bearcats take JV Championship
Kentucky Country Day School took home the girls JV state lacrosse
title by defeating Mercy 10-7 on Sunday. Though the Bearcats entered
the tournament the No. 4 seed, Saturday they defeated both Assumption
10-7, and top seeded Ballard 11-10, to make it to their second consecutive
state title game in dramatic fashion.
KCD fell behind 3-0 early in the first half before rallying to even
the score at 5-5 by halftime, and eventually pulling away in the
second half to win 10-7. Rimsha Chowhan, Emma Tierney, and Natalie
Rechter each had 2 goals to pace the Bearcats. Congratulations
to the JV Bearcats!
