Class A Regional
The Varsity Baseball team won the 7th Region
Class A Regional on Saturday with a pair of victories.
In the first game KCD beat Whitefield Academy 8-0. Brian Cruse picked up the victory on the mound throwing 5 scoreless innings while striking out 9. Will Smith closed out the game pitching 2 shut out innings striking out 3. Offensively the bearcats were paced by Brian Cruse (3-4, double, triple, and two rbi's), Tyler Robertson (2-4, 2 rbi's), and Shelby Cregor (2-3, 2rbi's).
In the championship game KCD defeated Collegiate 16-1. Alex King picked up the victory on the mound throwing 3 innings while giving up just one hit. Offensively the bearcats were paced by Campbell Brewer (2-3, double, triple), Brian Cruse (3-3, 3 doubles), Ben Richter (2-4, 4 rbi's) and Will Smith (2-2, 2 stolen bases, rbi). The Baseball Bearcats are 4-0 on the season and face district rival Eastern at home on Tuesday.

KCD vs. Sayer
KCD defeated Sayre 2-0 yesterday behind an
outstanding pitching performance by Brian Cruse. Cruse struck out 5 and
gave up just 2 hits over seven innings. Tyler Robertson hit a double
and had one rbi for the bearcats who improved their record to (2-0).
The varsity team is in action again on Friday at Central.

KCD vs. Portland Christian
The KCD Varsity baseball team openned the season with a 16-3 victory
over Portland Christian. Alex Kimg picked up the victory on the mound.
Brian Cruse (4-4, 2 doubles and 5 rbi's) and Tyler Robertson (3-3,
double, 3rbi's) led a 17 hit attack for KCD.
