Psychology students visit Lower School
Seniors in David Apel’s AP Psychology class recently took a trip to the Lower School to visit with junior kindergartners in Janey Andris’ class. This activity was part of the human development unit in the Psychology curriculum. The unit focuses on our intellectual, mental, and social development of children and adults. The students also participated in activities with second graders and eighth graders.
Mr. Apel’s students have been studying theories of child psychologists such as Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson, Lawrence Kohlberg, and Mary Ainsworth. The upper school students’ activities and observations with the younger students allowed them to bring these theories to life!
