Admissions Assistance/New Family Resource
This committee provides assistance to the Admissions Office, coordinates volunteers to work the Open House in the fall and welcomes all new families. Limited assistance needed.

Art to Remember
This committee works with the lower school art teacher to organize, distribute, and collect the "Art to Remember" folders for the Lower School students during the fall of the school year. This committee reviews the order forms and works with an outside company to produce the artwork orders. Limited volunteers needed.

Bearcat Carnival
This fun-filled annual fall event involves every grade level and takes place on Homecoming Friday after school and before the football game. This year’s date is September 19, 2008. Every grade has a food booth, game booth, or ride. Proceeds from this event are deposited in each grade's class fund. Individuals interested in helping organize pre-sell tickets, staffing the ticket sales table the day of the event and counting the proceeds the week following the event are needed.

Volunteers assist teachers with the collection of students’ writings and illustrations to be produced by an outside company and made into a memorable book. Limited volunteers needed.

Bookfair
This committee assists the librarians and Bookfair Chair with the Annual Scholastic Book Fair held in November. Proceeds of the bookfair provide our library with additional needed resources. Volunteers to work shifts during the weeklong bookfair are needed. Volunteer signup sheets will be in the library at the end of October.

Community Service (Middle School)
These volunteers coordinate community service projects and opportunities for the Middle School. They also assist the ExploreLouisville chairpersons with the community service visits outside the school. Limited volunteers needed.

ExploreLouisville
This is a hands-on, educational day for Middle School students. This committee organizes presentations by area professionals on campus for the 5th and 6th grade students and arranges community service opportunities off campus for 7th and 8th grade students. This event is held in March. Volunteers needed and welcome to work the day of the event.

Exploremore
Lower School students look forward to this day every May when parents volunteer to teach a variety of courses and provide fun activities from wood working to bronco riding to wacky relays. This committee plans and implements this fun-filled day. Volunteers needed to serve on the committee and work the day of the event.

Gift Cards
This is a simple fundraiser in which committee members promote the sale of gift cards, collect orders and distribute cards only twice a year. Proceeds help fund PA sponsored events and provide teachers with special requests. Limited assistance needed.

Gift Wrap
This fundraiser provides parents, other family members and friends the opportunity to purchase gift wrap on-line in September. Members of this committee assist with the promotion of this fundraiser and with on-line orders as needed. Proceeds help fund PA sponsored events and provide teachers with special requests.

Committee members assist the Institutional Advancement Office in all aspects of this much anticipated and major event to be held February 21, 2009. KCDate is an elegant evening with auctions and raffles and is KCD's largest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds go to the Annual Enrichment Fund. Assistance needed and welcome.

Lower School Social/Dance
Planning and implementing a fun evening for Lower School students, teachers and families is the responsibility of this committee. The event will take place in February and proceeds help to cover the cost of Exploremore. Volunteers needed and welcome to help in the planning and work the night of the social.

Lower School Lunch Parent
This committee coordinates the “day off” from the lunch room for lower school teachers. A parent is “in charge” of their child’s classroom during lunch and for a short reading time prior to or after lunch. Lunch parent day is designated by the teachers in the given grade. Sign-ups for this opportunity will take place once school begins. Volunteers needed throughout the school year.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation
Honoring, pampering, and recognizing our outstanding faculty and staff throughout the school year with various activities and events is the responsibility of this committee. We presently host four events per school year which include a breakfast (September 26), fall luncheon (November 7), spa day (February 20) and spring flower market (April 24). Volunteers to assist with any or all of the events needed.
