Citizen, Scholar, Steward

Scholarship that blends tradition and innovation

As scholars, we offer a rigorous and cohesive college prep curriculum that is also forward-thinking and innovative. As our students master academic content, they’re also developing skills essential for success in college and beyond: writing clearly, thinking critically, working collaboratively, managing competing tasks, and solving problems in creative ways.

Citizenship in a real-world context

As citizens, we offer a curriculum focused on real-world knowledge and engagement that puts learning in the context of our school, our city, our state, our country, and our world.

Stewardship through service and responsibility

As stewards, we foster a community that emphasizes service, character development, philanthropy, and sustainability. Our students are challenged to demonstrate responsibility in meaningful ways and to care for others in our community and our world.

A beautiful place to learn, compete, and play

KCD’s 85-acre campus provides a beautiful, safe place for students to learn, compete, and play. Our campus is home to the amazing Bearcat Backyard Playground, some of the best athletic facilities in the state, a new fine arts center and professional-quality theater, and plenty of green space where students can study, play, or spend time with friends. Students can do it all here, without ever leaving campus.
