Citizen, Scholar, Steward
KCD is committed to building a school community that reflects the diversity of our city. Our students represent a range of races, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as many of the world’s major belief systems, including Bahá’í, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Secularism, and Sikhism. We are a community that strives to appreciate and celebrate our differences, but we are united by one thing: we are all Bearcats.

We are actively committed to fostering a community that is socioeconomically diverse. We awarded $2.5 million in financial aid this year, with an average distribution of $13,030. 24% of our students receive aid.

There are a wide range of student groups that celebrate and support diversity. Over the last few years, these groups have included BOLD (Black Outstanding Leaders of Diversity), Culture Club (Desi and Asian Student Affinity Group), Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Fusion (Students of Color Affinity Group), Gay/Straight Alliance, International Students Organization, Multicultural Club, Muslim Students Association, and Union of Jewish Athletes.
