KCD CHESS CLUB

The Chess Club is casual, recreational chess for beginners through intermediate players with emphasis on learning how to play the game correctly and chess etiquette as opposed to competition. Chess Club meets on Fridays after school until 4:15 p.m. from September through January and provides instruction and a t-shirt. Children who join Chess Club are eligible to transfer to the Chess Team if they show a strong interest in making this kind of change. Both Chess Club and Chess Team are K-8.
