Membership Drive
The Fine Arts Guild is thankful for the
support of it's members. The first year of the Guild has been a huge
success thanks to the amazing KCD community. With membership of over
190 people for the 2006-2007 year, and raising over $23,000 to benefit
the fine arts programs at KCD, the future of this organization is strong.
With the funds raised, we were able to purchase
a state-of-the-art piano lab. This piano lab has been enjoyed by students
of every age and increased
awareness and interest in the Fine Arts. With the continued support
of the Guild through membership and involvement, we can accomplish so
much more.
Join the Fine Arts Guild now! With your help we can help the Fine Arts
at Kentucky Country Day flourish. Don't wait to partake in the great
events, receive our monthly newsletter, and become a member of an organization
that focuses on the arts.

Ebony and Ivory party
celebrates new piano lab
An enthusiastic crowd of friends and supporters of the Fine Arts Guild came out
on Saturday, February 10, for the Ebony and Ivory party celebrating KCD's new
piano lab. The pianos, which were purchased by the Fine
Arts Guild, represent a $20,000 investment in the arts program and are the
Guild's first major purchase for the school. The pianos themselves are state-of-the
art electronic instruments that utilize cutting-edge technology to create a superb
learning environment for KCD music students.
Black and white decorations provided an elegant
setting in the main lobby, and musical entertainment was provided by
music teachers James Racine and Jeannine Ary (above right). After short
remarks from Head of School Brad Lyman, Fine Arts Guild President Lisa
Manning, and Fine Arts Department Chair Kate Scinta, guests had the chance
to take the new pianos for a test drive (below right).
Thanks to Kimberly Offutt and the members of the
Fine Arts Guild for this great event and for their support of the arts
at KCD.
