Acceptable Use Policy

Kentucky Country Day School provides network resources and Internet access as part of its overall educational program to be used by students and faculty as an educational tool to enhance learning and communication. Faculty, staff, and students have access to vast resources of information and material, including some information on the Internet that does not have educational value and may be inconsistent with KCD’s mission and values. Even though every effort will be made to limit student exposure to inappropriate material, we do not have the ability to screen all the information available on the Internet.

Faculty, staff and students are responsible for educating themselves on and following KCD’s rules for use and software as well as policies, guidelines, and procedures for accessing, using, and referring to Internet materials that are directly related to school work. Any inappropriate use of the KCD computer systems may result in the removal of this privilege and may result in further disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion.
