Malone Scholars / Merit Scholarships
Malone Scholars Program
In 2009, Kentucky Country Day School (KCD) was one of only three schools in the United States to be named a Malone Scholarship School by the Malone Family Foundation. The foundation granted a generous $2 million endowment to establish the Malone Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to help academically gifted and talented students attend KCD’s Middle and Upper Schools.
Malone Scholarship Benefits
A Malone Scholarship covers up to the full cost of tuition and some related expenses for each year that the Malone Scholar is enrolled at KCD and meets expected academic standards, demonstrates continued good citizenship and character, and continues to qualify for need-based financial aid.
Who Should Apply?
Any student entering grades 7-12 with superior motivation and talent who meets the scholarship's criteria, including U.S. citizenship, may be considered for a Malone Scholarship. In addition, the family of a successful applicant must demonstrate financial need of at least 30% of KCD's tuition. Applicants new to the school must successfully complete KCD's admissions process.
