KCD, Collegiate join forces to “Beat Cancer with a Bat”
Last week, the KCD and Collegiate softball teams joined with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to “Beat Cancer with a Bat.” The annual campaign invites softball teams around the country to donate the proceeds of at least one game or special event to NFCR. Both teams donated the proceeds from their April 19 game, which raised $809 for cancer research!
“Cancer has affected families in our KCD community on multiple occasions during this school year, so this cause is close to our hearts,” said KCD Head Coach Patrick Mulloy. “This fundraising campaign is a great way for our softball team to give back and contribute to NFCR’s efforts towards finding a cure.”
