Middle school golfers excel at state tournament
Five of KCD’s middle school golfers competed in the Middle School State Golf Tournament held at Sun Valley Golf Course on October 15. The boys scored a total of 327, earning them a tie for fourth place out of fourteen teams. Wilder Brice, who posted an 81, led the KCD contingent of Bennett and Conner Collis, Colin Ferguson, and Davis Klein. Congratulations to the middle school Bearcats!
JV Golf vs. DeSales results
The boys' JV golf team defeated DeSales Tuesday at Cherokee Golf Course 182-187.

Boys’ golf undefeated, finishes third in region
The boys' varsity golf team has completed the 2011 regular season with an undefeated match record of 11-0, marking the first time in school history that the team has gone undefeated. The Bearcats closed out the regular season with a dual win over Male by one stroke and over Collegiate by sixteen. Special congratulations go to seniors Pierce Hollan and Zach Herfel; juniors Mac Telle, Will Smith, Brock Burton, Rahool Bhimani, Collier Bouchillon, and Jake Austin; and sophomore John Colbert, who were the top golfers throughout the season.
The team capped their undefeated season with a third-place finish in the regional golf tournament held at Seneca Golf Course on Monday. The boys' team finished behind St. Xavier and Christian Academy. Mac Telle tied for first place in individual honors with an even par 71 and will represent KCD at the State Golf Tournament in Bowling Green next week. Pierce Hollan shot 80, Rahool Bhimani 82, Brock Burton 84, and Will Smith 88. With the loss of only two seniors, the team expects even bigger and better results next season! Congratulations, Bearcats!
Whitefield match results

The boys' golf team extended its undefeated streak to 9-0 with a five stroke victory over Whitefield Academy yesterday at Quail Chase Golf Course. The Bearcats were led by Senior Zach Herfel with 39, Junior Mac Telle with 40, Senior Pierce Hollan with 41, and Sophomore John Colbert with 46. Keep the streak alive guys! The team will travel to northern Kentucky for the Steve Flesch/Covington Catholic Tournament Saturday at Boone Links Golf Club in Florence.
Boys' golf team is third in state
On Saturday September 10, the boys' varsity golf team earned third place honors in the All A State Tournament held in Paducah. The boys finished behind Paducah St. Mary and Lexington Christian Academy, two perennially strong teams and former state champions.
Top scorers for the Bearcats included Mac Telle with 73 (6th), Rahool Bhimani with 74 (8th), Brock Burton with 78 (19th), Will Smith with 82 (39th), and Zach Herfel with 88 (72nd).
This outstanding performance adds to an already spectacular season that is one of the best in KCD golf history. The team remains undefeated in regular matches and has won their matches in dominant fashion. Congratulations to Coach Sullivan and the Bearcats!
Beth Haven match results

The boys' golf team defeated Beth Haven on Tuesday 171-197 at Seneca Golf Course. The Bearcats are now 8-0 for the season. The four top Bearcat scorers were Collier Bouchillon (40),
Brock Burton (41), Pierce Hollan (42), and Colin Ferguson (48). Also participating were Jake Austin and Thomas Crockett.
Eastern match results
9/6/11 vs. Eastern
The boys' golf team pushed its perfect record to 7-0 with a 13 stroke victory over Eastern Tuesday at Vettiner Golf Course. In cool and blustery conditions Pierce Hollan, Rahool Bhimani, and Will Smith carded scores of 41 while Brock Burton added a 43 and Collier Bouchillon and Mac Telle added scores of 44 each.
Golf teams capture regionals!
Congratulations to the boys' and girls' golf teams for taking home first place in the All A Regional Tournament at Quail Chase Golf Course on Friday, August 26. This is the first time that both teams have qualified together! The teams will travel to Paducah to play in the All A State Tournament on Saturday, September 10.
The girls' team includes Kelsey Dutli, Nicole Nemec, Jasmine Valentine, Marra Burton, and Lilly Davis. The boys' team includes Zach Herfel, Rahool Bhimani, Brock Burton, Will Smith, and Mac Telle.

Manual match results
The boys' golf team extended its record to 6-0 with an impressive win over Manual yesterday at Cherokee Golf Course. The golfers fired a 154 to Manual's 171. Best scores for the Bearcats: Will Smith and Mac Telle 37 and Pierce Hollan and Rahool Bhimani 40.
