The performance had many great props and costumes with a tropical forest theme. Led by sponsor Sandi Johnson, the DI team used the opportunity to warm up for their state competition performance in Lexington this weekend along with the Middle School teams. The team received valuable feedback from their classmates on what they did well and what areas needed to improve. Collaborative writing project gets parents involved
Fourth graders in Kim Marek's class are used to daily creative writing exercises. This time, however, they had the opportunity to get their parents involved in the process. In the week before Thanksgiving, parents joined their children in the Wilder Room for breakfast. Parents and students worked together to create a story based around holiday-themed prompts such as turkey feather, pumpkin, and dancing elf. The student-parent teams then shared their entertaining creations with the group!
