Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten

• Complete and submit an admissions application to the Admissions Office by January 9, 2009 to be considered in the First Round of decisions. A $50 fee must accompany all online applications while the $75 application fee is required for paper copies. Neither fee is refundable. To be eligible for Financial Aid, the admissions application must be considered in the First Round of decisions.

• Call Square One, specialist in child and adolescent development, to set up your child’s Gesell Developmental Screening. Screenings may be scheduled between November 17, 2008 and January 28, 2009. There is a $50 Gesell Screening fee due to Square One at the time of testing. (It is necessary to have an application on file with Kentucky Country Day School, in order to set up a Gesell Screening)

• Call the Admissions Office, 502-814-4375, to set up a Saturday morning visit day. The sessions are scheduled for 8:30 or 11:00 a.m. on January 10 or 24, 2009. In the event of inclement weather, a makeup date has been set for January 31, 2009.

• Give the signed confidential Teacher Recommendation form, provided by Kentucky Country Day School, to your child’s current teacher no earlier than November 1, 2008. Kentucky Country Day will provide a return envelope, and your current school will send the form directly to us. The Teacher Recommendation form must be received by January 16, 2009, to be considered in the First Round of decisions.

• Receive written notification of Admissions Committee decisions after February 11, 2009.

Grades 1–12

• Complete proper admissions testing. Testing for grades 2– 12 will be held on January 10, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, a makeup date has been set for January 24, 2009. *GRADE 1 APPLICANTS WILL TEST DURING THEIR CLASSROOM VISIT DAY. There will be a $25 fee charged for an alternate testing date.

• Give the signed confidential Teacher Recommendation form, provided by Kentucky Country Day School, to your child’s current teacher(s) no earlier than November 1, 2008. Kentucky Country Day will provide a return envelope, and your current school will send the form directly to us. Teacher Recommendation forms must be received by January 16, 2009, to be considered in the First Round of decisions.

• Give the signed Transcript Request form, provided by Kentucky Country Day School, to your child’s current school no earlier than November 1, 2008. Transcripts must be received by January 16, 2009, to be considered in the First Round of decisions.

• Receive written notification of Admissions Committee decisions after February 11, 2009.
